Purpose That Fills Your Cup
At Compass, meaningful work isn’t just about what you do—it’s about who you do it with and how it makes you feel. Our employees often say the most rewarding part of their job is seeing the people they support grow, gain confidence, and achieve dreams they never thought possible.
One staff member shared, “The best part is watching the clients achieve their goals—things they never thought they could do.” That sense of purpose runs deep at Compass. But it’s not the only reason people love working here.
A Culture of Belonging
Compass has built a reputation for being more than a workplace. It’s a supportive, family-like environment where people feel appreciated and cared for. As one employee put it, “This is the place where you feel wanted, appreciated, and celebrated.”
Our client-staff matching process is a great example of that care. One staff member shared, “They didn’t just throw me in with anybody; they took the time to match me up with someone who had the same interests as mine. It just worked.”
Generosity in Action
And what sets Compass apart even further? The everyday acts of generosity that ripple through our teams.
On one staff member’s first day, two coworkers went out of their way to welcome them—with pizza, garlic fries, and kindness. “They are my heroes,” they said. “Captains of generosity.”
Another staff member shared a story about helping a client decorate her mom’s door for a Christmas party—bringing joy, connection, and even a contest win. In another instance, a client gave away toys she had planned to sell just to make kids smile. Her caregiver helped her start a small business and pursue a long-held dream of going to Disneyland—together.
Showing Up for Each Other
That spirit of giving flows through our teams, too. When a caregiver had to step away due to a family emergency, Melissa, a fellow staff member, immediately stepped in to cover extra hours. “She has no problem stepping up to the plate,” her coworker shared.
Room to Grow and Heal
Compass isn’t just generous with clients and coworkers—it’s also a place of second chances and personal growth. One employee reflected, “Compass gave me the support to care for my sons as a single mom. I’ve learned how to be a better mom, daughter, and friend.”
Sometimes, generosity means believing in someone before they believe in themselves. After a stay-at-home mom went through a difficult divorce, Kathy—a Life Guide—encouraged her to apply for a job. “I love my job. I belong. I’ve found a very supportive community of friends.”
Where Care Goes Both Ways
From coworkers lifting each other up to clients and staff chasing shared dreams, Compass is more than a workplace. It’s a generous community where people are seen, supported, and celebrated.
If you’re looking for more than just a paycheck—if you want to make a difference while being part of something deeply human—we’d love to welcome you.
