I found Compass after a 20 year career as a floor RN at a Level II trauma center in the Sacramento area. Nursing is my second career. After graduating from UCLA with my bachelor’s degree in Political Science, I entered the world of real estate appraising. With the birth of my two children and developing friendships with many nurses, I decided I needed a new direction and purpose, returning to school to earn my nursing degree at Sierra College.
At Compass, I am blessed to bring to the table my nursing experience, my working with special needs children and adults, and knowledge of California departments and agencies who support IDD clients.
My interests outside of work have a recreational theme: swimming, running, wakeboarding, kayaking (lake not rapids), snow skiing, golfing and fitness training. Time with family, friends and two dogs complete a very fulfilling life.
