Bridge to Belonging is a State Council grant-funded Compass initiative designed to foster connection, reduce isolation, and improve the well-being of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through health and wellness activities, creative arts experiences, and community-based social events, we are building bridges that lead to lasting friendships and a stronger sense of belonging.

We believe that every person deserves a space to connect, grow and belong.

Social & Recreational Connections

The Social and Recreational Connections track focuses on building meaningful relationships and creating lasting memories through recreational and community-based activities. Participants will explore new social opportunities, learn important social skills, and strengthen their sense of belonging in a supportive environment. From community outings to game nights, this track helps reduce isolation and encourages participants to connect with others in fun, low-pressure settings. Register for an event by clicking HERE.

Health & Wellness

The Health and Wellness track is designed to enhance physical and mental well-being for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants will engage in activities that promote self-care, physical fitness, nutrition, and emotional well-being. From group exercise sessions to interactive wellness workshops, this track offers practical tools to build healthier, more balanced lifestyles, while encouraging connection through shared experiences. Arts & Creativity

The Arts and Creativity track invites participants to explore their creative side through a range of artistic mediums. This track focuses on self-expression, skill-building, and connecting with others through shared creative experiences. Whether it’s painting, pottery, music, or storytelling, this track allows participants to tap into their unique talents while fostering a sense of community and accomplishment. Staff and Stakeholders

At Bridge to Belonging, we believe building community requires teamwork. Through our staff and stakeholder training, we empower caregivers, service providers, and advocates to foster stronger connections with the individuals they serve.
