Sarah Mabee

Marketing and Events Supervisor

I started working at Compass in 2023. As part of the Events and Marketing Team at Compass, it is my desire to bring joy and purpose to all of the clients and staff that we serve through our events and programs. Although this is my first professional role working at a company that serves adults with developmental disabilities, I come from a background and a passion of helping the unseen, overlooked, and forgotten be found.
I was raised in Tennessee as a PK (Pastor’s Kid) with one younger sister. My bachelor’s is in Cross-Cultural Communication from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. After graduating in 2009, two months later I moved to Taipei, Taiwan where I served as a missionary for 11 years. During those years, I taught English to students from 2 years old – retirement, helped to plant a church, and opened an English Cafe. In 2017 I completed my MBA from Crown College while in Taiwan.
In 2020 I moved to Redding to serve at Simpson University for 1 year as the IWIR (International Worker in Residence) where I taught 3 Missions courses, started a student-led missions fellowship, and mentored students. In 2021, I was hired full-time at Simpson University where I led the missions program, relaunching students on trips around the world. Now I am thrilled to be part of the Compass family where I serve all of our regions with marketing and events.
On the weekends, you can usually find me out hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, or camping. I also enjoy art and spending quality time with friends.
