SLS Supervisor, Shasta County
I began my journey with Compass in 2010 in the field. During that time, it quickly became obvious this was not just a job for me. Working with those with intellectual disabilities has shown me how to make the impossible, possible. Throughout my time in the field, I inspired clients to live a fully inclusive life while going after their wildest dreams. My greatest strength is building strong connections across the entire team – from clients to staff to their Circle of Support. Often times, I have entered situations full of broken pieces and took those broken pieces to make a beautiful mosaic by meeting others where they are at and asking what more is possible. One of the things I love most about Compass is that they inspire you to dream and go fiercely after those dreams. I started as a Life Guide, became a Pro, and have served as a Case Facilitator. However, now is the time for my leadership to grow once more as a SLS Supervisor. Alongside my new journey as SLS Supervisor, I am beginning my college journey as well. I have spent the last almost decade building up my fellow field staff and clients, and now I have the privilege of taking that impact to a higher level. Mediocrity just isn’t in my vocabulary. I greatly look forward to partnering with Case Facilitators to build a foundation of excellence, commitment, and building incredible systems that ultimately help us provide the best services in this field.
