- Bachelors Degree or Associates degree
- 2 Years of previous relevant experience as a teacher, coach or paid mentor/trainer (experience preferred but not mandatory)
- Or 5 years of previous relevant experience as a teach, coach, or paid mentor/trainer
Our Life Coaches serve under our Independent Living department and report to our ILS Managers. You can find more information on Independent Living here. Life coaches can promote to our ILS Coach II position through our self-managed training program. Through training and selection, ILC II’s are eligible to promote to ILS Manager.
We are looking for instructors to work with our clients as LIFE COACHES. This is an entry level position.
The Life Coach mission is to provide outstanding direct support to developmentally disabled adults in their home and community. The Life Coach will work as a team member to maintain individual program integrity and coordinate supports for the client in pursuit of goals and a meaningful life.
-Assist the team to develop and maintain a successful program which achieves the client’s social, emotional, spiritual, career and health related goals.
-Provide outstanding guidance/instruction to clients in their home and community.
-Meet requirements and exceed expectations in reporting and paperwork.
-Develop relationship with the people they support that is respectful and based on mutual trust and maintains professional boundaries.
